The relentless evolution of technology moves us inexorably toward a world of total integration. Today's continuing developments in cable, telephone, and telecommunications systems promise a tomorrow where office equipment, people, services, and facilities, whether distributed or centralized, remote or local, are linked together in a global netowrk of instantaneous communications and inforamtion transfer.
