Lotus Elite

The Lotus Elite - Type 75 and Type 83 (four seat) - was produced between 1974 and 1980 as a move to go up-market. The Elite body was glass-fibre reinforced polyester, produced in two horizontal halves by the Lotus patent "Vacuum Assisted Resin Injection Process" and shared the steel back-bone chasis of the Europa and Elan. This is the second interation of the car, the first ending production in 1963
